King is a total outcross with strong potential. His dam originated from the historic One Four Ranch in Southeast Alberta, an area known for its harsh environments. The One Four was a closed breeding herd from the 1950s through 2000 for genetic research by Ag Canada.
King is a son of a well known Canadian sire of old-line Alberta genetics that was near the top of the 2001 Manitoba Bull Test.
A versatile sire, King is a calving-ease sire that also ranks in the top 10% of all proven sires for WW EPD. His EPDs have seen steady improvement with every trait as more data is submitted and processed.
Breed character, King is a strong proponent of traits typical to the Angus breed. He is a free moving, athletic individual with a good disposition, bred for longevity with fleshing ability and natural thickness.
